L.A. Guns tickets available for tomorrow’s CL Lodge concert

LA Guns will finally make it to the Canyon Lake Lodge stage tomorrow night. After concerts being postponed over and over again last year because of COVID-19 restrictions, LA Guns will take the Canyon Lake Lodge stage tomorrow (Saturday) as part of the Concerts at the Lodge Series put on by the Canyon Lake POA.

The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are still available for the concert. VIP tickets are available for $52.00 and General Admission tickets are $32.00. Tickets can be purchased on the Canyon Lake Property Owners Association website.

This concert will be the final 2021 Canyon Lake Concerts at the Lodge series concert hosted by the Canyon Lake POA. Kenny Marquez will be the opening act and will perform before L.A. Guns takes the stage.

L.A. Guns, according to Canyon Lake producer Doug Schultz, is an iconic hard rock band with tons of hits and has been touring for nearly 30 years. Tracii Guns, who will be performing tomorrow with the band, is the founder of L.A. Guns, and went on to become a founding member of Guns N’ Roses.

Tracii formed L.A. Guns in 1983 as the band’s guitar player. That original band included then-unknown singer Axl Rose on lead vocals. The team of Guns and former Girl singer Phil Lewis have sold 6 1/2 million records, including 1988’s “L.A. Guns” and 1990’s “Cocked and Loaded,” both of which were certified Gold. “Cocked and Loaded” contained the hit single “Ballad of Jayne” that went to #33 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and #25 on the Mainstream Rock charts.

The band currently consists of Tracii (lead guitar), Phil Lewis (lead vocals), Ace Von Johnson (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Johnny Martin (bass, backing vocals), and Scot Coogan (drums).

“As manager of 4th & B Concerts in downtown San Diego,” Doug said, “I had the pleasure of working with LA Guns on two occasions, including a show on New Year’s Eve.”

Opening act Kenny Marquez is the former lead guitarist for the 1980’s/90’s rock band Renegade and has performed at over 500 venues. He is known as the Human JukeBox.
