Canyon Lake boys team headed to sectionals

After months of hard work and preparation, the Canyon Lake’s USTA Fall Boys Tennis Team is heading to the Sectionals next month in Palm Desert. The team of seven boys, along with their coach, Bobby Kielty, will be at the two-day tournament Dec. 18 and 19.

Those on the team are Sean Atas, Landon Bristow, Talan Denson, Nolan Carr, Aiden Kielty, Justin Atas and Nic Welty.

Members of the team have been practicing at the Canyon Lake tennis courts with their coach every week since the summer.

“The boys on the team have so much fun,” Jen Denison of the Canyon Lake Tennis Club said. “They are looking so disciplined out there on the courts while they practice their drills.”

At the prestigious Sectionals tournament, each team member will play singles and doubles sets at each match.
