Newbies and Social Club holds photo contest

The Canyon Lake Newbies and Social Club held a photo contest with club members submitting over 30 photos for consideration.

The purpose of the contest was to allow club members to show their community spirit and their love for Canyon Lake. Club President Bradley Morton said it was a ton of fun to see all the beautiful and creative photos of Canyon Lake the club members took.

First place went to Nuyo Rican, 2nd place to Gina MacDonneil Smith, 3rd place went to Sandy Varzarschi and honorable mention went to Cindy Cameron.

The first place winner received a $100 gift card from PZA, 2nd place received a $50.00 Sport Stop gift card and third place received a $25.00 gift card to Canyon Cowboy.

The winners were determined by votes on the club’s Facebook page, where the photos were posted. Nuyo’s first place photo received around 100 unique votes, Bradley said. The entire contest received over 800 votes.

Bradley and Jonda Morton said the club is looking for new members, especially those new to Canyon Lake. Joining is easy and one needs to only join the Canyon Lake (CA) Newbies and Social Club on Facebook Group Page.

“Developing this club was a game changer for us,” Bradley said. “It has helped us make lifelong friends as well as gaining the best experience possible in Canyon Lake.”
