Near sellout hears band at Guild Concert

Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young Tribute Band, CSN Express, captured the Canyon Lake Lodge audience with a variety of covered hit songs at the Canyon Lake Fine Arts Guild’s first concert in over a year on Saturday. The concert fell only 10 tickets shy of a sell out.

“Tonight’s been a long time coming,” Guild President Bonnie Dubbs told the audience in a voice full of emotion. “I thank the entire guild. This evening was a group effort and without the entire group, the concert wouldn’t have been possible.”

Bonnie then welcomed Doug Schultz to the stage where Doug expressed thanks for being invited to help welcome everyone.

Before the concert began, Bonnie said people were mingling and talking about how excited they were to once again be able to dress up and go out and enjoy an evening of music.

People were excited to see old friends that they hadn’t seen in awhile, she said, and some were able to go out onto the patio and enjoy a drink before the concert began.

Two more Canyon Lake Fine Arts Guild concerts will take place before the end of the year. The Brooks and Dunn Tribute Band, Neon Circus, will perform on Oct. 24 and the already-sold-out concert of the Queen Tribute Band, Queen Nation, will take the stage on Nov. 21.
