Concerts at Lodge appear good to go

The Canyon Lake Concerts at the Lodge series will begin to take place this summer after a long-anticipated wait because of COVID-19 restrictions. Doug Schultz, the producer, has now confirmed the dates for the concerts and he and his team are excited to get back into the groove of things with the lifted restrictions.

“I had to postpone all four shows twice, so that’s eight postponements total,” Doug said “Each postponement was challenging in that the venue and the artist needed to agree on the date, and I needed to schedule the concerts approx one month apart, which I eventually was able to do. The whole process was very challenging, but we were able to make it through.”

After a year and a half of pandemic-mandated postponements, Craig Campbell will be the first of the rescheduled Concerts at the Lodge series to take a Canyon Lake Lodge stage. His concert will take place on Aug. 28. Tickets for all four rescheduled concerts are now on sale.

The four concerts set for the remainder of the year are, Aug. 28, Craig Campbell; Sept. 25, Love and Theft, Oct. 15, Canned Heat and Nov. 13, LA Guns. The concerts will take place in the Holiday Bay Room in the Lodge.

Tickets for the concerts are available at the Canyon Lake POA member services in the Canyon Lake Town Center and can also be found online at the CLPOA website. If the show doesn’t sell out, attendees can buy tickets at the door of the show, Doug said.

For every show, the doors will open at 6:30 p.m. The show will begin at 7:30 p.m. and opening acts will perform at each of the concerts. The set capacity of attendees for the shows is 300, and tickets are known to sell quickly, Doug said.

“The team and I have been swamped planning the promotions for each concert,” Doug said. “These promotions will begin very soon as well!”
