National tennis tournament held at Canyon Lake courts
The Canyon Lake POA hosted a major Junior Tennis Tournament event with the US National Tennis Association Saturday and Sunday.
The tournament had a mix of Canyon Lake resident and nonresident participants. The players’ ages ranged from 12 to 18 years old. The nonresident players were loaded with talent and swept the competition, winning every division.
The US National Tennis Association ran the tournament, but asked local tennis pro Bobby Kielty and his wife, Meredith, to volunteer at the event.

The winners, all non-Canyon Lakers, were: Boys, U12 Timothy Chen, U14 Nicholas Raymond (Runner Up Scott Chen), U16 Donatas Chachisvills (Runner Up) and Girls, U12 Savannah Schmitz, U14 Mia Thiele, U16 Victoria Yang (Runner Up Kelsey Ko) and U18 Savannah Homuth (Runner Up Neha Sambangi).
