Streamlining services to members a priority

Canyon Lake Property Owners Association board and management are determined to improve how it provides services to their members. One of the significant goals the current board set was to refine its administrative operations by streamlining services to members.

Canyon Lake POA management has decided to utilize technology to fulfill this goal. With the full support of the Canyon Lake POA’s Board of Directors, under the guidance of the general manager and the leadership of the controller, POA staff conducted a search recently for a full-service technology provider that could help make it easier for them to provide members with these services.

The objective of obtaining such a provider is to streamline services and modernize access to community amenities for the members and POA clubs. The selected service provider will be charged with creating a custom online system for delivering services to members such as customer management, billing, reservation systems and other high-end web applications.

The Canyon Lake POA said its members can look forward to making online dining reservations, campground reservations, club calendars, events registration and tee times. Additionally, they will be able to access real-time charges, including online payments, and personalized member communications. Members will be able to sign up to receive push notifications through the new system, view current charges, order food, view and pay bills, access a member roster, view and sign up for club events and much more.

As part of the streamlined services will be the Canyon Lake POA family of websites being redeveloped with a mobile-first design. A new mobile app that will enable access to these services will also be developed for Canyon Lake POA members. The anticipated launch date for the new management and communications system is September.

With the Canyon Lake POA offices physically closed during the pandemic, it fell upon the Senior Member Services Manager to continue to virtually provide efficient services to its thousands of members. Email submissions were implemented for registration renewals, membership renewals, etc. at memberservices@canyonlakepoa.com.

Although implemented out of necessity, using this email for such purposes proved to be highly effective at meeting members’ needs.

A new member information website fulfills one of the important functions of the Member Services and Communications departments. One of their combined tasks is providing a welcome platform for these new homeowners. Content on this new platform welcomes new owners to their new community and gives them the information they need to establish their membership with the Canyon Lake POA.

The website also provides information on all the great amenities, activities, events and essential things to know about living in Canyon Lake.
