City cleanup event returns

Everything from large appliances to extra grass clippings are being accepted for disposal by the City of Canyon Lake’s annual Community Clean-up event next weekend.

The parking lot at the Canyon Lake Community Church will be filled with giant trash bins and CR&R workers to gather items dropped off for disposal by residents of Canyon Lake on April 10 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.. The CR&R-hosted event is exclusively for Canyon Lake residents who must show driver’s license and utility bills to prove residence. Businesses and any commercial entity is prohibited from participating.

Most items are eligible for dropping off at the clean-up. For example, furniture, like sofa beds, couches, tables, chairs, mattresses, box springs, patio furniture, etc.; yard waste like grass clippings, tree trimmings, branches, etc.; large appliances such as washing machines, dryers, refrigerators, stoves, water heaters, dishwashers, air conditioners, etc. and even E-waste items like televisions, computers, laptops, printers, microwaves, copiers, fax machines, etc..

Items that cannot be dropped off are tires, car parts, household hazardous wastes and construction material.

The Canyon Lake Community Church is located at 30515 Railroad Canyon Road.
