Shamrock Tennis Tourney survives rainy Saturday

The Canyon Lake Tennis Club held its monthly themed tournament last Saturday. Their Shamrock tournament had several members come out to play despite the rainy weather. The tournament was delayed until 10:00 a.m. until the courts dried off from the rain. The event was organized by members Carlos Hansen and Michelle Porter.

 

The club played eight games and the best out of seven games won with no-ad scoring. The prize was a new canister of Penn Canyon Lake tennis balls and a gift card of $9 to Jamba Juice.

The Women’s High Score winner was Gyan Jeet Barringham with 24 games. The Men’s High Score winner was AJ Nevarez with 22 games.

Team Shamrock won First Place. Team members were Phil Braun, Tammy Kennedy, Dawn Wessel, Gyan Barringham, Saleshnie Sukhram, AJ Nevarez, Doug Wells and Jim Barringham.
