EVMWD recognized as a 2020 Top Workplace

Among a diverse collection of Inland Empire organizations considered for the distinction, Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District (EVMWD) is one of 25 companies to be recognized as a Top Workplace in the Inland Empire for 2020.

EVMWD, which supplies water for most of Canyon Lake residents and leases the lake to the Canyon Lake POA for recreation, was selected as a Top 10 workplace in the midsize business category. This decision was based upon employee feedback collected by a third-party employee research and technology firm and compiled by the Inland News Group.

“It is an honor to be recognized amongst the many outstanding businesses and organizations in our region,” Phil Williams, EVMWD board president, said. “The dedication and service of our staff is exemplary and all credit for this award goes to them. They have made EVMWD into the top workplace it is today.”

Organizations located within Riverside and San Bernardino counties, as well as several Los Angeles County communities, were eligible for consideration. A total of 12,510 employees in the region received surveys and 8,340 responded.

“Throughout the many challenges of 2020, EVMWD staff diligently served the community,” EVMWD’s Kaitlyn Wu said. “As circumstances surrounding COVID-19 changed almost daily, employees adapted quickly and continued to provide uninterrupted water and wastewater services. Many even used personal resources to sew face masks, purchase Christmas gifts for local families and more.”

As 2021 continues to unfold, EVMWD remains committed to cultivating a workplace that attracts and retains skilled professionals, Kaitlyn said.
