Concerts at the Lodge returning for 2021

COVID-19 wiped out concerts over and over again last year. Undaunted, the Canyon Lake POA and producer Doug Schultz have put together a 2021 lineup of concerts that they are determined to stage in hopes the pandemic will subside.

The first of the four scheduled concerts will take place April 24 and tickets are currently on sale for all four of the concerts.

“This is where the real national recording artists that you have been listening to for years perform,” Doug said. “Live and in concert, right here in Canyon Lake.”

All of the concerts will take place at the Lodge with regular tickets and VIP tickets available for each concert now on sale. If concerts have to be cancelled because of the pandemic, refunds will take place, Doug said.

Canned Heat, Love and Theft, Craig Campbell and LA Guns are the headliners for the four concerts. Tickets can be purchased on the Canyon Lake POA website’s Concerts at the Lodge page.

Canned Heat will start off the 2021 series with a concert on April 24.

“This is a band that performed at Woodstock, the most popular music event in history and the largest music festival of all time,” Doug said. “With their cool vibe and indelible sound, including international hits like “Going up the Country” and “On the Road Again,” many say that they are the best rock and blues band of all time.”

Canned Heat

Canned Heat attained three worldwide hits, “On The Road Again” in 1968, “Let’s Work Together” in 1970 and “Going Up The Country” in 1969. “Going Up the Country” was adopted as the unofficial theme song for the film Woodstock and the “Woodstock Generation.”

If postponed, this concert will be rescheduled to Oct. 15. Tickets are $44 for general admission and $64 for VIP seats.

June 26 is the date for Love and Theft, a country music duo of Stephen Barker Liles and Eric Gunderson. They have hit the charts with the No. 1 country smash “Angel Eyes” and top 10 hit “Runaway.”

Love and Theft

The long-time friends and bandmates have gone on to garner more than three billion radio impressions, over 300 million plays on Pandora, and are nearing three million music video streams for the critically acclaimed “Whiskey On My Breath.”

“I produced a music festival called CountryFest in Lakeside, CA with an audience of 8,000 which included Love and Theft,” Doug said. “Out of all of the performers that day, I noticed the audience seemed to respond the best to these guys.”

Tickets for the Love and Theft concert are $34 for general admission and $54 for VIP seats.

Craig Campbell

Craig Campbell will put on a concert on Aug. 28. Craig Campbell is an American country music singer who signed with Bigger Picture Music Group and has released two albums, “Craig Campbell” and “Never Regret.” He has had eight singles on the country chart.

“I first met Craig a couple of years ago when I produced an outdoor show at Pala Casino with him and Maren Morris,” Doug said. “Concert goers sang along with Craig’s major hit songs “Family Man” and “Keep Them Kisses Coming.” Over drinks after the show, we discussed him performing here in Canyon Lake. We are finally making it happen.”

Tickets for the Craig Campbell concert are $34 for general admission and $54 for VIP seats.

On Nov. 13, LA Guns will finally make it to the Canyon Lake stage. After concerts being postponed over and over again last year, LA Guns will make it to the Canyon Lake Lodge stage this year.

“As manager of 4th & B Concerts in downtown San Diego, I had the pleasure of working with LA Guns on two occasions, including a show on New Year’s Eve,” Doug said. “This is an iconic hard rock band with a ton of hits that has been touring for nearly 30 years.”

LA-Guns

L.A. Guns was formed in 1983 by guitar player Tracii Guns and then unknown singer Axl Rose on lead vocals. The team of Guns and former Girl singer Phil Lewis have sold 6 1/2 million records, including 1988’s “L.A. Guns” and 1990’s “Cocked and Loaded,” both of which were certified Gold. “Cocked and Loaded” contained the hit single “Ballad of Jayne” that went to #33 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and #25 on the Mainstream Rock charts.

Tickets for the LA Guns concert are $32 for general admission and $52 for VIP seats.
