After gingerbread houses and movie, Holiday Home celebration continues

Children and their families spent Saturday creating and decorating gingerbread houses and then closed out the day that evening with an outdoor movie. The events were part of the Holiday Home Group’s various events this month.

Today (Friday), Holiday Home will be hosting its second event beginning at 5:00 p.m. The group will meet at sponsor Sabrina Alt’s home at 23286 Gray Fox for Christmas cookies, crafts and cocktails. Because alcohol will be served for adults, Sabrina asks that children under 13 not attend.

Canyon Lake children and their families in the Holiday Home Group participated in an outdoor movie. Earlier in the day, they built and decorated gingerbread houses.

This event is open for all members of the Holiday Home Group. Applications and more information can be found on the group’s new Facebook Page, Canyon Lake’s Holiday Home. This is a new Facebook page, which needed to be duplicated from the old one due to technical issues. Completed application forms are to be submitted by Sunday by emailing Sabrina at sabrinasellshouses@yahoo.com.

Sabrina created Holiday Home to ensure there are festivities that are still vibrant this holiday season during the pandemic. Sabrina urges Canyon Lakers to help rebuild the group’s new Facebook page and join in celebrating this holiday season through events and decoration contests.

Three new contests will begin next Friday: an exterior decorating contest, a Christmas tree contest and a resident’s choice. Applications and more information can be found on the Facebook Page Canyon Lake Holiday Home.

After a successful Halloweentown house decorating contest, Sabrina decided to create a similar contest for a holiday-themed house decorating. Sabrina welcomes all Canyon Lakers to participate in the contests.
