Family Matters Club accepting letters to Santa

It is time for the Canyon Lake Family Matters Club 7th Annual Santa Letter event. Once again, children 18 and under are being invited to write a letter to Santa in care of the club. The child will receive a letter back from Santa, a special reindeer treat to leave out Christmas Eve and a gift delivered to their Canyon Lake doorstep.

Letters to Santa can be written and delivered anytime from Dec. 1 to Dec. 15. The letters can be mailed or dropped off at the doorstep of 29385 Vacation Dr.

“We will try our best to fulfill an item wish on the list,” Shawna Bowen of the Family Matters Club said, “However, sometimes Santa cannot make some of the items. In that case, we will choose something age-appropriate for the child.”

All children sending a letter will receive a response and a reindeer treat, however only the children who live in Canyon Lake will have a gift delivered to their doorsteps.

There is no fee to participate, however, donations are being accepted to help fund the cause. Those donations can be made at the club’s website, FamilyMattersClub.org.

The Family Matters Club is open to all residents, young and old, kids or no kids. The club puts on several events throughout the year to benefit the community and raises funds for philanthropic donations. Events are free or low-cost to attend.
