In Memoriam: Betty Steward

Betty Steward

Betty Steward passed away on Oct. 21 due to complications after surgery. She was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on Sept. 2, 1933.

Betty attended St. Olaf College before graduating from Cal State University Long Beach with a major in Home Economics. In 1954, she was crowned the Minneapolis Aquatennial “Queen of the Lakes.” It comes as no surprise to friends and family that Betty was a beauty queen. She was always beautiful to everyone who knew her. She spent much of her time encouraging others, praying for anyone who needed prayer and spreading the Word about Jesus. She attended Revival Church, but was also a vibrant member of Priscilla Circle at Canyon Lake Community Church.

Betty is survived by her brother and his wife, Janet and Kenneth Trones, her daughters, Stephanie Camplin and Stacey Bell, and grandchildren, Dayne, Kaylin, Christian, Jenna, Jesse, and Lauren. She also leaves behind great-grandchildren Rylie and Reef.

Betty was a dedicated and loving mother with strong Christian values. She was a light to everyone who knew her.
