Bassmaster winners catch five bass

Brian Hohn and Trevor Moreno teamed up to catch five fish that weighed a total of 18.58 pounds to win the September Bassmasters monthly tournament.

A total of 11 boaters and 21 anglers participated in the tournament with the top three teams each catching five fish. The total weight determined the top finishers.

Coming in second place was the team of Kirk Beardsley and Danny Batinich whose five fish they caught weighed 16.07 pounds. The third place team of Travis Smith and Steve Oskey caught five fish which weighed in at 14.91 pounds.

The Big Fish Award went to Brian Hohn, whose largest fish of the day weighed 5.14 pounds.

The monthly tournaments are sponsored by the Canyon Lake Bassmasters Club and are held on the Saturday after the first Wednesday of each month.
