Lighthouse Restaurant reopens today

The Lighthouse Restaurant will be opening for outdoor dining and takeout this afternoon (Friday) at 4:00 p.m. The restaurant had closed on Sept. 3 when an employee had been determined to have been in contact with customers and members of the community who had tested COVID-19 positive.

Later, it was determined that an employee tested positive and had last worked on Sept. 2. The person did not have “close contact” (as defined by the CDC) with any other employees or customers.

The Canyon Lake POA said it wanted to use the utmost caution in this situation and decided to close the restaurant until it knew “with certainty” that members and employees would not be at risk.

The outdoor patio has been thoroughly cleaned and is set up for reopening.
