City, POA co-sponsor City Golf Championship

The Sixth Annual City of Canyon Lake Golf Championship Tournament will take place on Oct. 3-4 at the Canyon Lake Golf & Country Club. The City Championship is sponsored by both the City of Canyon Lake and the Canyon Lake Property Owners Association.

The weekend event is open to the public and Canyon Lake residents and includes two days of golf, cart fees, prize money and a tournament lunch on Oct. 3. The entry fee is $150 for non-annual golf members and $70 for annual golf members. The registration deadline is Sept. 30.

There will be both Men and Women Championship Flights as well as additional flights played gross and flighted by handicap.

The tournament winner will receive a prize along with their name engraved on the City of Canyon Lake Golf Championship Tournament trophy that is on display at the Canyon Lake Golf & Country Club. Tee times will be from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on both days.

The event is supported by the Canyon Lake Men’s Golf Club, Canyon Lake Family Golf Club and Canyon Lake Women’s Golf Club.

“This is a great opportunity to play two rounds of golf at Canyon Lake’s beautiful golf course,” Joe Kamashian, one of the event coordinators, said. “Golfers will compete for the Canyon Lake City Golf Championship for only $150, with prize money and lunch included.”
