In Memoriam: Tony Alcantar

Tony Alcantar May 11, 1947 – August 29, 2020

The family of Tony Alcantar of Canyon Lake is sad to announce his passing on Aug. 29, 2020. Tony will be lovingly remembered by his wife Priscilla of 31 years; sister Rita; son Richard; stepson Gregory; stepdaughter Kymberly; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Tony was a proud United States Army Veteran who served as a medic in the Vietnam War. He was awarded a National Defense Service Medal and Expert Rifleman. He was a member of the American Legion Post 0257 in Laguna Woods.

He loved spending time with his wife, grandchildren and his dogs. He enjoyed scuba diving, golf and travel. We will miss his sense of humor and endless stories.

Surviving a double lung transplant over 15 years ago, he strongly fought his medical battles until the end. Tony will be forever in our hearts, thoughts and memories. He will be buried at the Riverside National Cemetery next to his father, a veteran of World War II. To send a condolence or to share a memory please visit www.murrietavalleyfuneralhome.com.
