Eagles music to be played at Concerts on the Water tomorrow

The first of five Concerts on the Water will take place tomorrow at 5:00 p.m. and will feature recorded music by the band The Eagles. Any boat with current registration is invited to participate in this free event.

Music from The Eagles will be featured at the Canyon Lake Yacht Club’s inaugural Concerts on the Water tomorrow (Saturday) at 5:00 p.m. Canyon Lake residents can enjoy a night of fun from the safety of their boats at the event which will feature recorded music.

This concert is the first of five concerts and will feature tributes and covers of rock music by the band The Eagles.

“Boats are also encouraged to bring water pads, floaties and other water toys,” Ron Wilbur said on behalf of the Yacht Club. “Concert goers are encouraged to wear swimsuits and enjoy the water while enjoying the music.”

Interested boats should gather at the Lodge Courtesy Dock at 5:00 p.m. for a 5:15 p.m. departure. The event lasts approximately two hours and will end about sunset. After departure, participating boats will follow the lead Yacht Club boat on a slow cruise around the main lake before tying up in Catfish Cove. Boats will line up in front of the concert boat for the music.

Yacht Club membership is not required for participation. All Canyon Lake boats with current registration are welcome and there is no charge for this event. Participants can bring appetizers and beverages for themselves and their household; unfortunately, because of COVID-19 concerns, there will not be sharing food or beverages between boats.

“All Concerts on the Water are recorded music,” Ron said. “No live bands were harmed in the making of this event!”

There will be limited seating available for walk ons and the Yacht Club encourages all participants to bring a mask and follow public health guidelines during the cruise.
