Grab-n-Go meals begin Tuesday

Drive through Grab ‘n Go school meals will be available for pick up every Tuesday and Thursday, from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m., at nine designated sites for students who have prepaid via SchoolPay and students who have been approved for the 2020-21 free and reduced meal program.

Curbside meal distribution will take place twice a week beginning Tuesday. Students do not need to be present for meal pick up. Only the student’s barcode letter is required. Letters with barcodes to identify each student were mailed to all families. These letters can be brought each time meals are picked up.

For student households that qualify for free and reduced meals, these barcode letters are also required to pick up the meals.

Paid meal accounts can be created and funded at www.schoolpay.com. Balances may be paid using an online account or by mailing a check to LEUSD Food Services, 550 Birch St., Lake Elsinore, CA 92530.

Paid students will be charged for four meals on Tuesday and six meals on Thursday. Total cost for elementary students is $8.50 on Tuesdays and $12.75 on Thursdays. Secondary student cost is $9.00 on Tuesdays and $13.50 on Thursdays.

Free and reduced-cost meal applications are available for the 2020-21 school year. Only one application is required per family for the entire school year. Applications based on current income may be submitted online at lakeelsinoreusd.rocketscanapps.com.

The locations most convenient for Canyon Lake families where the meals are available for pick up are Canyon Lake Middle School and Temescal Canyon High School.

Face masks are required to be worn by all occupants of a vehicle, those in the vehicle need to remain inside the vehicle and those who are sick or have a fever of 100.4F or above should not come to pick up the meals.
