Outdoor bible study group meets weekly

Connie Green has formed a bible study group for women that meets weekly at Sunset Beach.

“I started the group because I felt that in the times that we are enduring, we could meet at the beach, social distance, meet new friends, care, and learn about our Lord all at the same time,” Connie said. “We sing one song, pray, have our lesson and get to know each other!”

The group has been meeting for an hour every Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. for the past five weeks. Those interested in joining need only to bring a bible and a chair.

“No homework required and cookies and water are provided,” Connie said.

When Connie’s friend, Marta Carrol, heard about the study group, she decided to form her own bible study group for Brazilian women in Canyon Lake.

They held their first meeting this week and will continue to meet at Sunset Beach at the same time as the English-speaking group.
