This year’s annual Canyon Lake Independence Day bike ride was as full of excitement as any other year, even with fewer participants because of COVID-19 issues.

Bikers, walkers and golf carts, all decorated and dressed patriotically, came out to join in on the July 4th fun.

The family-friendly bike ride started at the Roller’s home on Longhorn Drive, went through Happy Camp, down Big Range Road and ended at Moonstone Beach, where food and companionship were enjoyed.

The Roller family took over the annual tradition two years ago when they moved to Canyon Lake. The previous owners of their Canyon Lake home, the Wallers, started what turned into an annual 4th of July bike ride tradition.

The Rollers plan on hosting the July 4th bike ride next year…hopefully without a pandemic and social distancing being recommended.
