Ariana Shah

Ariana Shah

Ariana Shah is a 2020 graduate of Temescal Canyon! We are extremely proud of her hard work. This year was full of accomplishments for her. She began her Gold Award project, a nationally recognized Girl Scout award in which she has completely refurbished and revamped the Greenhouse at Temescal Canyon. She spent hundreds of hours prepping and planning it and will finish this project by the end of summer. Ariana has also donated 100% of her proceeds from her small business clothing brand, Death by Cherry, to the Health for Everyone Clinic in Kabul, Afghanistan, while she also spends her time tutoring and helping new Afghan migrants adapt in Lake Elsinore. Ariana has dedicated over 400 hours of community service, whether it was designing and creating a Recreation Center for teens in Lake Elsinore or volunteered for many of our wonderful organizations in Canyon Lake. She is an amazing young girl whose heart is full of compassion for those who go unrecognized in society. Ariana plans to pursue academia at San Jose State University and major in Global Studies to serve our country and help the most vulnerable in less-developed countries as a Foreign Service Officer.

Honor your 2020 graduate in The Friday Flyer

One of the more devastating aspects of the COVID-19 lockdown is the cancellation of once-in-a-lifetime events such as high school and college graduation ceremonies. In an effort to congratulate these students, The Friday Flyer is publishing Canyon Lake grads’ photos and small honorary write-ups that families submit in The Friday Flyer. Please submit one senior photo and a write up of no more than 200 words at FridayFlyer.com (click on Submit News/Photos). The write up could include accomplishments and membership in clubs, organizations, sports, cheer, etc., as well as plans for after graduation. Be sure to include the name of the school.
