Reel People picks for what movies to stream

During these trying times, movie theaters and just about everything else, have been closed. Yet, more people than ever are watching movies… they’re just watching them at home. You just have to find one or more in this list that looks interesting that you haven’t seen! Regular readers of our Reel People column know we rarely agree with serious moviegoers and don’t always agree with each other. We’re not saying these are the best movies. We’re just offering movies we enjoyed watching and hope you find one or more that you like as well.

A good movie can help pass the time enjoyably. We sincerely hope everyone stays safe and can resume a “normal” life sooner rather than later. We are looking forward to the summer blockbuster season and holiday movies once again. We hope to see you all there, or anywhere.

This review is rated R (Restricted) for long periods of boredom, extensive anxiety and inexplicable weeping. It’s kind of interesting that every disaster movie starts with the government ignoring a scientist, ouch! Worse yet, this Sci-Fi fantasy features some slob eating bat soup in a Chinese meat market, which causes a U.S. shortage of toilet paper, naw!

Or, maybe we’re all seriously over-reacting like Brendan Fraser’s parents in “Blast from the Past” (1999). It’s all documented in the movies, so go see one! We never thought we’d actually be in a futuristic apocalyptic flick. Yet here we are, living the dream.
