Katie is graduating from Cal State San Marcos University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing this semester. Along with taking 12+ units each semester and working 20+ hours a week, Katie was an active member of Alpha Xi Delta and held the position of Chapter Events Director. Katie we know having graduation postponed, your Dean’s Recognition Breakfast and your job fairs (along with all your other grad activities) being canceled is not how you expected your last semester to be. But with your kind heart, smart, positive attitude, work ethic, and go-getter personality your future looks bright. Graduation is a well-earned accomplishment and no virus can take that away from you. We are beyond proud of you and look forward to celebrating with you soon! You are strong­er because of this and we can’t wait to see what your future holds. Love you tons!

Kelsey McCoy

Kelsey McCoy will be graduating with honors from The University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech, Language and Hearing Science. She loved her time in Arizona, but will be returning to California to continue her journey toward becoming a Speech Pathologist. Kelsey will begin the Speech Pathology Masters Program at California State University San Marcos in the fall. Kelsey was a 2016 Temescal High School graduate and was born and raised in Canyon Lake. We are all so proud of you and all that you have accomplished and the many ways you have grown. We look forward to seeing all that is in store for you in this next chapter. Even though the circumstances aren’t ideal, I hope you (and all 2020 graduates), take time to celebrate this wonderful achievement!

 

Jacob Bassett

Jacob Bassett

Jacob Bassett is a 2020 graduate of Paloma Valley High School with better than a 4.0 GPA and more than 300 hours of community service. He has a passion for storytelling through film and hopes to use the medium of cinema to engage and motivate change to improve our world. He has made several student films enlisting the help of his friends, while always maintaining the roles of writer, director, producer, editor and actor. He will be attending the University of California Riverside to study Theatre, Film and Digital Production in the fall.

 

Kaitlyn Hofmeister

Kaitlyn Hofmeister

Kaitlyn Hofmeister is graduating magna cum laude with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry from California Lutheran University. She graduates with many accomplishments. She­ received Academic Excellence Award, Nominated and awarded Departmental Distinction and graduating with Departmental honors. She also made the Deans List multiple times. Kaitlyn was also a Swenson Science Summer Research fellow and conducted research over the summer. She was involved with Her Campus all four years on the editing and photography teams. Kailtyn also participated in the country line dancing club where her love of country line dancing and music grew stronger. Finally, she was also part of the Tri Beta Biological Honor Society.Kaitlyn also worked for campus safety along with driving, mentoring and tutoring the youth around the Thousand Oaks area. After graduation, she plans on working within biology research.

 

Grant Manley

Grant Manley

Grant Manley is a senior at Temescal Canyon High School. Grant has been very involved on campus for the last four years. He was involved with ASB, Varsity Boy’s Water Polo, Varsity Swim, National Honor Society, California Scholarship Federation and Interact Club. He has excelled both in high school as a 4.0 (unweighted) student, in the community through various volunteering opportunities and Boy Scouts. Within the community, he has taken part in numerous volunteering opportunities including Lake Elsinore Clean Extreme, Habitat for Humanity, and PRYDE (Personal Rotary Youth Development Experience) as a guide. As a Boy Scout, he grew as a leader and earned his Eagle Scout award in 2018. Grant has received many awards and recognition over the years. After getting accepted to numerous colleges, Grant has made the decision to pursue a degree in Political Science at Western New England University in Springfield, MA. Grant likes Indie music (collects vinyls), Star Wars, The Office, Peace Tea and candy with mint. Continuing your education with Method Charter School your Senior year and training at The W Facility and further being offered a position as a trainer at the Facility has shown the characteristics you carry with high morals and values, trust, honesty and responsibility. Also working for AC Communications has been very rewarding as well. You will have a promising and bright future in a Management/IT Tech career. Your sister Megan, brother Aidan, mom, dad as well as many family and friends love you so much and can’t wait for your well-deserved Class of 2020 celebration party. You are truly a blessing, Austin!

 

Nyla Akmal

Nyla Akmal

Nyla Akmal is graduating from Temescal Canyon High School with honors and a GPA of 4.3. She is moving to Colorado and going to college in Colorado Springs where she will major in psychology with a minor in American Sign Language. Nyla has the most beautiful heart, which, along with her determination, will take her so far in life. We are so proud of her. Love Mom and Dad.

 

Hannah Martineau

Hannah Martineau

Hannah Martineau is a 2020 graduate of Temescal Canyon High School. Hannah was involved in the Health Academy program throughout her entire high school career, where she learned about the medical profession, attended special field trips and excelled in her medical classes. She was also involved in both the swim and water polo teams her freshman year. Hannah loves animals and dedicated over 200 hours volunteering at the local animal shelter. She also spent time volunteering at the Hope Food Pantry and assisted with the special education classes during her down time at school. Hannah enjoys spending time with her family and friends, listening to music, playing the piano and occasionally spending time playing Xbox. Hannah has a passion for helping people and is looking forward to continuing her academic journey to one day becoming a health care professional. We are immensely proud of you and your accomplishments; we look forward to continuing to watch you blossom into the beautiful young woman that you are. We love you!

 

Kyla Smith

Kyla Smith

Kyla Smith is a senior at Temescal Canyon High School. She received an honor chord for ASL, an Honored Titan Award and was on honor and high honor roll. She took several AP classes and has passed all AP exams she’s taken. She lettered in band which she was a member of for four years. This year she was chosen to be a “Breaking Down the Walls” leader, voted in as the band president and senior class representative. Kyla has committed to join the US Army and is scheduled to ship out on July 6. We are very proud of Kyla and wish her the very best. Love you!!
