Anthony Sam Richuisa

On April 19, 2020 Anthony Sam Richuisa passed peacefully into the arms of our Lord.

Anthony Richuisa was born in Cleveland, Ohio on August 14, 1919 to Mary and Antonio Richuisa. In 1942 he joined the US Navy and was stationed on the USS Ranger. He was honorably discharged in 1947.

Anthony and the love of his life, Tena Natale, moved to California in 1951. His career was varied and included being a Pit Boss in a Reno casino, an Engineer and Electrician in the AeroSpace industry, a Produce Manager for a major food chain and a Jungle Boat Captain at the newly-opened Disneyland.

At 70 years young he worked as a Starter at the Mission Viejo Country Club and later at the Bear Creek private Golf Course in Murrieta where he became a favorite of the golfers. His hobbies were golfing, traveling and playing the crap tables.

In 2004, Anthony moved from Menifee to Canyon Lake to live with his daughter, Karen Bevans. He remained in Canyon Lake until he was moved to a Memory Care Facility in Murrieta. Two of his great joys were riding in the Veterans Brigade during Fiesta Days and attending the Canyon Lake Veterans Day Celebration.

He is survived by his daughter Karen Bevans, grandchildren BrandiLynn Nakakihara of Canyon Lake and Kristi Holman of Gilbert, AZ and great grandchildren Madison and Brooklyn Nakakihara, Tanner Madrid and Sawyer Malone. He has also left behind numerous nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. He will be missed by all who knew him.
