Destiny Loney

Destiny Loney

Destiny Loney, a Canyon Lake resident since 2013, is a 2020 graduate of Santa Rosa Academy, Menifee. In the midst of the COVID-19 quarantine, Destiny was excited to learn via a Facebook video that she was awarded with the title of Valedictorian. It wasn’t the pomp and circumstance typically presented at an all-class assembly, however during these unprecedented times, Destiny feels extremely honored. Destiny is also her Class President, Varsity Cheer Captain and she has already satisfied her general education requirements for college, taking additional dual enrollment and concurrent classes at MSJC. Destiny is a founding member of ShowCal Skiers, California’s first and only Show Ski Team located in Canyon Lake. Although she feels fortunate for her blessings of health and safety, her parents, Don and Traci Loney, had plans to honor her accomplishments amidst friends and family, together with her sister Donica Loney, who is a 2020 college graduate, with a surprise of a lifetime dream cruise to Italy. However, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, all plans have been canceled. Now, Destiny waits in great anticipation to learn if she will have the opportunity to live on campus while attending California Baptist University in pursuit of her dream of becoming a Pediatric PA. She is hoping she will have the opportunities to grow in the same spiritual, academic and social setting that she has anticipated for many years. Until then, Destiny counts her blessings with regard to her faith, her opportunity to be with her family and she prays for continued health for all.

The outstanding role model you have been as our first child, and the success that you had throughout your school years with earning Honor Roll at Temescal Canyon High School and watching you play football and how you thrived with the Titan Cycling Team and chosen as Captain has made us so proud. ASL with Mrs. B and being a part of the Engineering Program with

Mr. Parks were your strongest points of interest. Continuing your education with Method Charter School your Senior year and training at The W Facility and further being offered a position as a trainer at the Facility has shown the characteristics you carry with high morals and values, trust, honesty and responsibility. Also working for AC Communications has been very rewarding as well. You will have a promising and bright future in a Management/IT Tech career. Your sister Megan, brother Aidan, mom, dad as well as many family and friends love you so much and can’t wait for your well-deserved Class of 2020 celebration party. You are truly a blessing, Austin!
