To the delight of neighborhood children, the Easter Bunny toured Canyon Lake Saturday afternoon.

He started his tour at 2:30 p.m. on Continental Drive. Canyon Lakers waited with anticipation near their front doors or along streets where the Easter Bunny was traveling. He made his way down Canyon Lake Drive toward the East Gate and then traveled in his car to Vacation and then down Longhorn.

Families and children excitedly waved hello from their driveways, porches and balconies, while biking and even while fishing as the Easter Bunny was driven by. Everyone kept a safe distance. No typical hugs and high fives were given, but that did not dampen the excitement.

Little Hadlee Card poses with the Easter Bunny during his tour around Canyon Lake Saturday. “Thank you all for helping the Easter Bunny visit us!!!” Hadlee’s mom Sarah Card said. “It was definitely something Hadlee will be talking about…over and over and over!”

The Easter Bunny was driven through Canyon Lake by Sarah Burchett and Bobby Gunter. Photos were taken by Pei Pei Gunter and Brian Burchett was on the megaphone to announce the arrival of the Bunny as he made his way through Canyon Lake.

Days were brightened and children were given some Easter spirit by the Easter Bunny’s tour through Canyon Lake.
