County suspends normal court operations

Because of the current COVID-19 corona virus health crisis, the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office has suspended normal court operations other than those essential to the criminal justice system and has reduced the hours its offices will be open to the public.

“The DA’s Office will continue to meet its public safety obligation while also safeguarding the health and welfare of our employees, and of the victims of crime and the community that we serve,” Mike Hestrin, Riverside County District Attorney, said. “We will continue to handle in-custody filings and other essential government functions.”

The District Attorney offices countywide will be open to the public only during the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The Division of Victim Services is available and on-call for any needs or emergencies victims may have, and the Bureau of Investigation will remain fully staffed and operational during this time, Mike said.

“We thank the public for your patience during these unprecedented times,” he said. “Please follow all safety guidelines such as those detailed on the Riverside County Public Health System website (https://www.rivcoph.org/coronavirus).

“This health crisis is constantly changing, and we will continue to provide updates via all our social media platforms.”
