Scholarships being offered to CL young women

Scholarships are being offered again by the Canyon Lake Chapter WW of the P.E.O. to Canyon Lake young women who are either graduating from high school this year or who are enrolled in college and continuing their education.

The P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization) has been celebrating women helping women “reach for the stars” for more than 150 years. The focus of the organization is to help women further their education through scholarships and loans.

The Canyon Lake Chapter WW was started 20 years ago, and its chapter gives scholarships to deserving Canyon Lake young women. It is once again offering scholarships to new applicants as well as those who have previously received one from the organization.

P.E.O. is an international philanthropic organization with a local chapter in Canyon Lake.  Through membership, the P.E.O. Sisterhood has brought together more than half a million women in the United States and Canada who are passionate about helping women advance through education, while supporting and motivating them.

In addition to the educational philanthropies, the P.E.O. Sisterhood provides a framework of support and community for all members. It is a nonprofit organization that has helped more than 109,000 women pursue educational goals by providing almost $348 million in educational assistance over the years.
