In Memoriam: Warren Bousman

Warren Bousman

Wm. Warren Bousman, 79, passed away February 22, 2020 at his home in Canyon Lake, after a battle with lung cancer caused by exposure to asbestos. Warren was born on February 1, 1941 in Long Beach, California to Wm. Warren Sr and Genevieve “Sadie” (Kibler) Bousman, who both preceded him in death.

He graduated from Jordan High School in 1958 and held a series of interesting odd jobs until he found his true calling. He became an apprentice, and then journeyman, electrician with IBEW Local 11 and worked there for over 25 years. He worked hard to retire early and chose to live in Canyon Lake for over 38 years. Throughout his life, Warren enjoyed waterskiing, camping, antiquing, square dancing, golfing and celebrating happy hour with his friends at Sunset Beach.

He is survived by his daughters Laura (Lane) Johnson of Hurst, Texas and Lisa (James) Canterbury of Arlington, Texas and grandchildren Lacey (Devin) Logsdon, Lizabeth Johnson, Wynston and Dalton Canterbury.

Close friends are invited to share in a memorial and sunset toast lakeside on February 29 at 4:00 p.m. His internment is Monday, March 2 at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Long Beach, California.
