Guild to host Eagles tribute concert Jan. 18

The Eagles tribute band Desperado will kick off the Canyon Lake Fine Arts Guild’s 2020 concert season on Saturday, Jan. 18, at 7 p.m. in the Holiday Bay Room at the lodge.

General Admission tickets cost $25. VIP tickets cost $45. Tickets are on sale now at canyonlakeguild.org. General Admission tickets only can be purchased by check at the POA office.

Nationally recognized Desperado boasts a line-up of five lead singers and instrumentalists, some who have played with the Hall of Fame band itself.

Desperado founder Aaron Broering has played with Eagles guitarist Don Felder and Eagles co-writer J.D. Souther. The band performs regularly at performing arts centers, large casinos, corporate events and outdoor concert festivals across the nation.

The audience will be treated to such timeless classics as “Hotel California,” “Take it Easy,” “Lyin’ Eyes,” “New Kid in Town,” “Take it to the Limit,” “Life in the Fast Lane,” “One of These Nights” and “Desperado.”

The Guild will also be featuring tributes to Crosby Stills Nash & Young on Mar. 28, Brooks & Dunn on May 30 and Queen on Oct. 17. VIP Reserved Tickets are $45 and already 90 percent sold for the entire year.

General Admission tickets are just $25. The Fine Arts Guild has sold out each tribute concert over the last four years, so early ticket purchase is highly recommended.

The Fine Arts Guild will be treating the community to two free concerts in the summer at the amphitheater at Holiday Harbor Park. Motown Night featuring the eight-piece ensemble Summerhill Soul will be held on June 20. A tribute to Journey on Aug. 1 will feature nationally recognized DSB.
