Annual CL business licenses expire Dec. 31

Operating a business in the City of Canyon Lake requires a City of Canyon Lake business license. Annual licenses expire on Dec. 31. To renew a business license, the cost is $130. The fee for a new business license is $161. Payment must be received or postmarked by Jan. 31, 2020, to avoid the additional late fees totaling $193.

For businesses that share an office with professional associates or associates defined as a professional separately licensed by the state, including but not limited to realtors, attorneys, beauticians, and doctors, there is an additional associate fee of $24 per separately licensed person under the business license.

If you are no longer conducting business within the city, you are still required to notify the city that the business has been discontinued. Those who do not notify the city may receive an administration citation. For more information about business licenses, contact City Hall at 951-244-2955.
