Rainstorm doesn’t stop Turkey Trot Participants

The downpour on Thanksgiving morning didn’t stop Canyon Lakers from participating in the Triathlon and Fitness Club’s 2nd annual Canyon Lake Turkey Trot. The race started with a 1K Fun Run traveling from Gault Field to Whirlaway Court and back. The 5K Run/Walk course continued down Big Range Road to Strawberry Lane and back to Gault Field.

The event was not timed but the first female and male finishers were each awarded a pumpkin pie. The first female finisher was 11-year-old Izzy Wesolowski. Fourteen-year-old David Menendez was the first male finisher. The Enfield family won a pumpkin pie for having the best costumes.
