Women’s Golf Club

The Women’s Golf Club invites all clubs to play in its Jack and Jill Turkey Shoot Tournament tomorrow, Nov. 23 at 12 p.m. Each two-person team consists of one man and one lady. Participants may sign up as a foursome. All must have an established handicap.

The entry fee is $40 per person. Golf cart and green fees will apply for non-annual members. Signups are taken at the Pro Shop. Dinner and awards will follow play.

The Women’s Golf Club Offers a friendly atmosphere in which golfers of all abilities can participate in equitable competition through proper handicapping, utilizing USGA standards. Annual membership is $82. Membership forms are available in the Pro Shop. Both residents and non-residents are welcome. The club plays on Tuesdays. Check-in is at 7 a.m. in the Magnolia Room. 9ers Golf Club

The 9ers invites the public to participate in its annual Scholarship Tournament on Dec. 12. Proceeds go toward scholarships for Canyon Lake student-athletes attending college in 2020. Registration starts at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Putting Contest at 11 a.m., a shotgun start at 12 p.m. and dinner, a raffle and a silent auction at 5:30 p.m.

The format is an 18 hole 3 par stroke play. Players have an opportunity to win a golf cart for a hole-in-one on holes 8 and 11. Signups are taken at the Pro Shop. The deadline is Dec. 9.

The entry fee is $40 for annual members and $60 plus a $10 cart fee for non-annual members. Dinner is included. An additional $30 bundle package is available.

Sponsorships are available and donations for the raffle and silent auction are welcome.

The 9ers Golf Club is a member of the Women’s Southern California Golf Association. Ladies who are interested in playing golf and making new friends are invited to play; all levels of golfers are welcome. After Lunch Bunch

Last week’s game of Four Man Tin Whistle had the following results:

1st place: Mike Pinto, Danny Batinich, Nick Valencia and Chuck Hudson, 76.

2nd place: Vern Kelch, Tom Fuhrman, Leroy, Madera and Ray Freyre, 63.

The winners of the Skins competition are Chuck Hudson on hole 5, Dave Nickel on hole 6,  Ray Freyre on hole 14. The Closest to the Pin awards went to Ross Hanover on hole 16, and Vern Kelch on hole 17.

Next week’s format will be Individual Tin Whistle and the players may pick their own foursomes.

The club’s Annual Tournament will be held on Monday, Nov. 25. Entry is free; however, participants must have played 12 games during the 2019 season to qualify. The format will be Individual Tin Whistle; tee time is 8 a.m.

Adult Golf Lessons

Adult golf lessons are offered seven days a week. Lessons are $50 for a 30-minute lesson, $75 for a one-hour lesson, $210 for three one-hour lessons and $300 for five one-hour lessons. Reservations are required. For reservations and group pricing, call 951-244-6841, ext. 820.

Men’s Golf Club

Members of the Men’s Golf Club meet for play every Wednesday morning. Signups are taken between 6:30 and 7:30 a.m. in the Magnolia Room at the country club. In addition to Wednesday games, the club sponsors eight major tournaments throughout the year. Dues include membership in the Southern California Golf Association.

Canyon Lake residents and property owners age 18 and older and any member of the public who purchases an outside annual golf membership are eligible to join the club. The club has a Junior Membership Division for males under the age of 18. For more information, contact Membership Director Greg Brack at 951-570-1239.

Family Golf Club

The Family Golf Club promotes the sport of golf bringing together men, women and juniors in an atmosphere of education, camaraderie, fairness and competition in a friendly, family-oriented environment. The club hosts beginner and youth clinics, tournaments and social events throughout the year. The club’s official golf day is Wednesday at approximately 11:30 a.m. Some members schedule golf days on Mondays, Fridays or Saturdays at 11:30 a.m.

The tournament director works closely with Golf Pro Pat Kemball and his staff to assure tournaments are balanced. Family Golf Club is a member of the Southern California Golf Association. Junior Golf Lessons

Junior golf lessons are available for children ages seven to 17. Lessons are $35 per 30-minute lesson. Reservations are taken at the Golf Pro Shop.

Golf Lessons Special

The golf course is offering a special of unlimited golf lessons for one month for $350. This special is available to residents and non-residents. For more information, contact Bryan Carlson at 951-595-5463.

Annual Memberships

Annual golf memberships for Canyon Lake residents are $59 per month for juniors ages 17 years and younger, $109 per month for ages 18 to 35 and $163 for ages 36 and older. Annual family memberships are $296 per month or $3,500 annually (down payment of $304 is required).

Non-Resident Memberships

Annual memberships for non-residents are $89 per month for juniors ages 17 and younger and $249 per month for adults ages 18 and older. Annual family memberships are $399 per month. Memberships include cart.

Golf Pro Shop

The Golf Pro Shop at the country club features the latest in golf clubs from Ping, Mizuno, Callaway and Titleist. It also stocks Nike, EP Pro, Antigua and Footjoy golf apparel. Canyon Lake Property Owners Association members receive a 20 percent discount on apparel.

Free Round of Golf

Canyon Lake residents can play their first round of golf for free. This offer is valid for new customers only and only one person per tract and lot.

Golf and Lunch Special

Residents and non-residents can enjoy one round of golf, practice on the range, a complimentary tour of the course and lunch at the country club for only $55. Golf cart fee is included.

Country Club Bar & Grill

The Canyon Lake Country Club Bar & Grill is open to the public and offers Happy Hour, daily specials and live entertainment on Fridays. For reservations, call 951-246-1773.
