October was a busy month for Kids Club

The Canyon Lake Kids Club members had a busy month in October, celebrating Taco Day and Kids Music Day and learning about Humpty Dumpty for World Egg Day and how to “Be a buddy not a bully” for National Bullying Prevention Month.

Outings included a trip to Animal Friends of the Valleys to read books to shelter dogs and  a trip to the pumpkin patch. For the third year, the group created Halloween paper bag costumes and enjoyed a trick-or-treat party.

This month, the kids will be learning about Election Day, celebrating Hug a Bear Day, making book marks for National Young Readers Day, having a Thanksgiving harvest party and making Christmas ornaments for the club’s tree.

Class will not meet on Nov. 26 and Nov. 28.

The Kids Club is a program in which young children and their parents or grandparents enjoy a morning of crafts, music, exercise, games, sports and a snack for just $2 per session. Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the Sunset Beach Room at the lodge.

Those who purchase a 10-class punch card receive two classes free. Punch cards can be purchased in class.
