FMC provides afternoon of Halloween fun

More than 160 children attended the Canyon Lake Family Matters Club Halloween Carnival and Costume Contest on Sunday at Holiday Harbor Park.

The event featured trunk-or-treating in the parking lot, a costume contest, carnival game booths, face painting, crafts, bobbing for apples, Halloween Bingo, a pretzel eating contest and vendors.

The grand prize winner of the costume contest is Samantha Triolo, who was dressed as a broken windup doll. McKenzie Towle, dressed as a scary doll, won the girls’ category and Landen Hood, dressed as a headless man, won the boys’ category.

There were 14 entries in the trunk-or-treat section. The haunted house entry sponsored by Lake Lyf Gear and the Canyon Lake Wakeboard Club won first place. They were presented with four tickets to Disneyland.

The proceeds from this event allow Family Matters to do its philanthropic work throughout the year. For more information about the Family Matters Club, visit familymattersclub.org.
