Don’t miss annual Parade of Frights on Saturday!

The normally peaceful Towne Center will fill with little monsters, ghouls, superheroes, cartoon characters and princesses tomorrow, Oct. 26, for the 27th annual Parade of Frights. The Parade of Frights begins at 9 a.m. with registration in front of City Hall.

Sponsored by the Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce, this spooktacular event for the community’s youngest residents offers a fun, fright-free morning of trick-or-treating at more than 50 Towne Center businesses using the chamber’s “Treasure Map.”

Participating businesses will stamp the map and hand out treats. Kids who turn in their completed maps will be entered into a prize drawing. “Treasure Maps” will be distributed during registration.

The fun continues after trick-or-treating with a costume parade in the parking lot led by Lake Elsinore’s mascot Thunder, costume contests with prizes awarded in various age groups ranging from 13 years old and younger, carnival games and fun inflatables.

DJ Mike Shroyer of Good Time Entertainment will be providing the music throughout the morning. The chamber will be selling water, juice and soft drinks.

The Parade of Frights is a fright-free family event. The chamber encourages parents to attend in costumes too. For more information, call 951-244-6124.
