Jack is a five-year-old Husky mix looking for a family to love. His caretakers said he loves belly rubs, long walks with his human friends and prefers to have someone by his side at all times. Jack is neutered and ready to be adopted. His intake number is 481700. Reference picture: Jack.

Max is a four-year-old Husky mix looking for a “fur”ever home. His caretakers said he is a sweet and chatty boy who loves to go for walks and adventures. Max needs to be neutered before he can go to his new home. His intake number is 488200. Reference picture: Max.

Hammond is an eight-year-old Shepherd mix who has had a long journey at AFV and continues to get overlooked. His caretakers said he has a great personality and has so much love to give. He knows commands such as sit and speak. Hammond prefers to be the only dog in the house. He is neutered and ready for adoption. His intake number is 415499. Reference picture: Hammond.

All dog and cat adoption fees include a microchip, basic shelter vaccines (excluding rabies) and a free veterinarian check-up. All cats/kittens, pit bulls and Chihuahua adoptions are just $5 (spay/neuter fees, if applicable, are additional).

For adoption or fostering, contact Animal Friends of the Valleys (AFV) at 951-674-0618. The shelter is located at 33751 Mission Trail in Wildomar. Hours of operation are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The shelter offers animals for adoption as well as providing animal control and spay/neuter services.

Low cost vaccinations and $20 microchipping are available seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at AFV’s Low Cost Spay/ Neuter Clinic at 29001 Bastron Ave., Lake Elsinore. Walk-ins are welcome. To make an appointment, call 951-674-7729 (SPAY) or 951-374-3491.
