Lions Club serves up pancakes for community

More than 230 Canyon Lakers enjoyed breakfast by the lake on Sunday at the Lions Club annual Pancake Breakfast at Holiday Harbor Park. For $7, residents enjoyed a breakfast of pancakes, sausage, eggs, orange juice and coffee. Kids under the age of five ate free with a paid adult.

Members of Cub Scout Pack 346 collected $66 for the Lions White Cane Project. The funds will be donated to programs that assist blind and other visually impaired people.

The club donated the leftover pancake mix and other food to Canyon Lake Fire Station 60.
