Chair Volleyball Club celebrates June birthdays

More than 25 members of the Senior Chair Volleyball Club gathered at The Sports Stop to celebrate the June birthdays of Grace Ward, Mary Jane Kelly, Teresa Fidler, Don Shorr, Molly Frank and Pat Chronis.

The club hosts its monthly birthdays at The Sports Stop as a way of saying thank you to The Sports Stop for its sponsorship of the club.

The Senior Chair Volleyball Club is for seniors 50 years of age and older. The club promotes fitness fun and the spirit of competition through the organized playing of chair volleyball. The game is played using a beach ball and a 5 ft. net while players are seated. Members meet weekly on Tuesdays and Fridays in the Holiday Bay Room at the lodge. Competitive play starts at 8 a.m.; regular play starts at 9:30 a.m. The club participates in the Riverside Senior Games.
