Canyon Lake Councilman Jeremy Smith enjoyed Father’s Day fishing with his dad, Calimesa Councilman Larry Smith. They were joined by Jeremy’s brother-in-law, Codie Ballard, who caught the biggest fish of the day weighing in at 3.8 lbs.

Using plastic worms, the trio caught a total of 15 fish, all of which were released back into the lake.

After a morning of fishing, the men enjoyed a family barbecue and then a round of golf at the Canyon Lake Country Club.

“I’m beyond blessed to call my dad my best friend and share such a memorable day with him fishing and golfing on Father’s Day,” said Jeremy.
