Happy Camp 4th of July lottery ends today

Canyon Lake POA members have until today, June 14, at 5 p.m. to enter the Happy Camp lottery for a chance to win a reservation for the July 4th holiday. There is only one lottery entry allowed per tract-lot and members must in “good standing” with the POA.

The lottery will be held at the campground tomorrow at 10 a.m. Members must be present at the lottery with a valid POA ID card for a chance to win. There is a three-day minimum reservation required and reservations are not site specific. Winners must pay a $30 non-refundable deposit at the end of the lottery.

Happy Camp holiday rates are $58 for water-front sites with full hookups, $53 for off-water sites with full hookups and $48 for tent sites.

Holiday Harbor Park is another popular location to watch the fireworks show. Due to its popularity, the POA holds a table lottery to give members an equal opportunity to win a table reservation for the day.

To enter, members must be in “good standing” and sign up at the POA office no later than June 21. Only one lottery entry per tract-lot is allowed. The lottery will be held on June 22 at 9 a.m. in the Council Chamber in the City Hall building. Members must be present to win.

There are a total of 15 table reservations to win. There is no charge for table reservations. Upon being issued a reservation confirmation for the table, a sign with the winning names will be taped to the table on July 4. Reservations are good from 8 a.m. until park closure.

Seating at the amphitheater will be first-come, first-served. The park will open at 6 a.m.
