Letters: Beautification Tournament

The Canyon Lake Association of Past Presidents (CLAPPS) wants to thank all of those who supported and participated in its tournament on Apr. 27. Eighty-two players displayed their skills in helping to raise over $7,700 for beautification and improvement projects at the Canyon Lake Golf and Country Club.

We want to especially thank our major sponsors for their generosity:  Canyon Lake Men’s Golf Club; Margaret McCoy of Coldwell Banker Realty; BrightView Golf Maintenance; Golf Pro Pat Kemball of PBK Golf Services; Canyon Golf Cars; and the Family Golf Club. Their support was a major contribution to the success of the tournament.

Also to be thanked are the donors of major auction items: Borrego Springs Resort for golf and lodging; Oxford Suites Hotels and Cypress Ridge Golf Course in Pismo Beach for golf and lodging; South Coast Winery Resort and Spa for lodging, behind the scenes tour and wine tasting; and the Tuesday Work Group for the half-cord of firewood, delivered and stacked.

Over 25 local merchants donated items for the opportunity drawing. When combined with the major sponsors and major auction donors, it helped raise this year’s $7,700 for golf course beautification and improvements.

Again, thanks to all who participated in and supported the 2019 CLAPPS Beautification Tournament.
