Ladies enjoy afternoon tea at senior center

The Canyon Lake Woman’s Club hosted its Spring Tea on Saturday afternoon at the senior center. More than 60 women and young girls between the ages of five and 13 attended the event. Attendees enjoyed finger sandwiches, scones and jams, petite fours, lemon bars, brownies and an assortment of teas. Champagne was available for purchase. The event also featured vendors and opportunity drawings.

The funds raised from this event will go toward the club’s philanthropy projects. Every year in June, the club donates its proceeds to local charities and to Canyon Lake students in the form of scholarships. The club donated $42,000 last year.
