Adopt-a-Pet: Paddy, Jasper, Claudia and Bubbles

Paddy is a one-year-old Shepherd mix looking for a fun-loving family to call his own. His caretakers say he is a clown that seeks a good-humored soul mate who is ready to let the good times roll. Jasper is a six-year-old American Eskimo looking for a “fur”ever home to call his own. His caretakers say he can be a bit shy at first. He enjoys walks and adventures as long as there is no water involved. Jasper is neutered and ready for adoption. His intake number is 170247. Reference picture: Jasper.

Claudia is a four-year-old cat who will demand ear scratches and play time from anyone who comes near. She is spayed and ready to settle down in her “fur”ever home. Her intake number is 458485. Reference picture: Claudia.

Bubbles is a three-year-old tabby cat looking for a quiet home to relax in. Her caretakers say she is sweet and enjoys small spaces and boxes to curl up in. She never turns down a good ear rub. Bubbles is spayed and ready for adoption. Her intake number is 459247. Reference picture: Bubbles.

All dog and cat adoption fees include a microchip, basic shelter vaccines (excluding rabies) and a free veterinarian check-up. All cats/kittens, pit bulls and Chihuahua adoptions are just $5 (spay/neuter fees, if applicable, are additional).

For adoption or fostering, contact Animal Friends of the Valleys (AFV) at 951-674-0618. The shelter is located at 33751 Mission Trail in Wildomar. Hours of operation are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The shelter offers animals for adoption as well as providing animal control and spay/neuter services.

Low cost vaccinations and $20 microchipping are available seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at AFV’s Low Cost Spay/ Neuter Clinic at 29001 Bastron Ave., Lake Elsinore. Walk-ins are welcome. To make an appointment, call 951-674-7729 (SPAY) or 951-374-3491.
