Travel near and abroad with CL Travel Club

The Canyon Lake Travel Club invites adult members of the community to make new friends and enjoy travel adventures near and far with other members of the community who have a passion for traveling. Annual club membership is just $10 per person.

Travel Club members recently visited the San Diego Zoo Safari Park where they explored the inside of the rain forest greenhouse at the Butterfly Jungle. Members walked among thousands of butterflies and watched as they sipped nectar from flowers and feeders. Other activities included a tram tour to see rhinos, giraffes and antelope in their natural open plains environment.

Future trips include a two-hour champagne brunch cruise aboard John Wayne’s Wild Goose yacht on Aug. 25 in Newport Beach and a trip to New Orleans Oct. 6 through Oct. 10. In New Orleans, members will experience a spirited jazz revue in the French Quarter, take a cocktail tour visiting local haunts for a sampling of iconic cocktails, journey through Louisiana’s swamp country on a narrated cruise and enjoy dinner at The Court of Two Sisters.

The club will travel to Dublin, Edinburgh and London Dec. 26 through Jan. 7. Members will ring in 2020 in style with a luxury, all-inclusive three-night stay in a Scottish Castle.

Membership is not a requirement to participate in the Travel Club; however, members receive discounted prices on most of the club’s trips.
