One of the best kept secrets in Canyon Lake can be found in the back area of Baby Bound Ultrasound Spa and Float Center where there are two rooms with dream pods. The state-of-the-art flotation pods are filled with Epsom salt-saturated water, enabling a person to float effortlessly atop the water, creating a deep relaxing zero-gravity environment.

Flotation therapy is a wellness tool said to help with anxiety, insomnia, stress, tension, inflammation and pain.

All lights and sounds from the outside world are eliminated in the dream pod, helping individuals who are feeling physically or mentally stressed find respite from the hectic reality of everyday life. The water is heated to skin temperature, which allows the client to drift into a state of complete relaxation.

Before a client enters the dream pod, they are treated to a 15-minute infrared sauna, which detoxifies the body, opens the pours and prepares the body and skin for the salt.

A shower is conveniently located in each spa room so the client can rinse off in private before and after their float. Towels, body wash, shampoo and conditioner are provided.

The pods are sanitized after each use with a high-tech system that funnels the water through an ultraviolet disinfecting process.

Baby Bound Ultrasound Spa and Float Center is offering a 60-minute float special of $39 for first-time clients. Couple floats are offered at $69. Floats are available seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. by appointment only.

In addition to flotation therapy, Baby Bound Ultrasound Spa and Float Center offers massages, chiropractic care, ultrasounds and early gender DNA detection.

Baby Bound Ultrasound Spa and Float Center is owned by mother-daughter duo Diana Sue Parker and Rachel Brady, who opened the business in 2012 and expanded with the spa in 2017. Diana and Rachel have been residents of Canyon Lake for more than 30 years.
