Letters: Thank you

Editor, The Friday Flyer

A few weeks ago, the air handler in my attic began to make a grating noise and could not start. I called Ton’s Heating and Air Conditioning and within an hour Tom, the owner, was at my home checking out the problem.

He was familiar with the make and model of the air handler and suspected that the motor was the problem. If that was the problem, the cost to repair it would be $395.

He returned the following morning with a helper and tools. After removing the unit, holding the motor and squirrel cage and checking it out, he showed me that the motor was fine but the squirrel cage was hitting the housing.

He proposed making an adjustment rather than installing a new motor. I agreed. That fix worked great. The total cost was just $140. Many thanks to Tom.
