‘Super Bloom’ is here

The Super Bloom has returned to Lake Elsinore. Following significant rainfall this year, once again the local hillsides are starting to fill with wildflowers, including poppies and lupine.

The recommended viewing area is Walker Canyon Trail located off of Lake Street on I-15. To help preserve the hillsides for many years to come, visitors are asked to stay on established trails and avoiding walking, laying or standing on the flowers.

The City of Lake Elsinore is asking visitors to park in the approved parking location, use caution while hiking, pay close attention to the signs and help keep the area clean by throwing trash into the designated receptacles in the parking area.

Parking is available along Walker Canyon Road. Parking is not allowed along Lake Street and stopping is not allowed on the roadways at anytime. Turn around areas have been established in certain areas on Walker Canyon Road.

For safety and compliance, a Lake Elsinore Sheriff Station Community Services Officer will be on site on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to assist with traffic.
